The Lord Mayor of Niagara-on-the-Lake is expecting a busy weekend ahead as wineries are allowed to host tastings and tours.
Betty Disero says her main concern entering stage two is that visitors to Niagara will not be as careful as local residents and businesses are.
Disero says they are working with restaurants who want to offer outdoor dining, which is allowed in stage two.
The town is even looking at closing some side streets off of Queen to allow restaurants to have more outdoor space.
Disero says as Niagara enters stage two of reopening this Friday, the message is shifting from 'stay home' to 'stay safe when out.'
Niagara is moving into stage two of reopening Friday, but some areas including Toronto are staying in stage one.
Around 10 million tourists from within Canada visit Niagara each year.
