Our first taste of wintery weather, and some driving tips from CAA Niagara.
CAA's Public Relations Specialist Cody Cabral says there are a lot of common sense things drivers can do, such as keeping a winter kit, including kitty litter in case you get stuck, or maybe some extra gas.
But Cabral adds there are also some, not so obvious things, drivers should do to avoid an accident.
He says drivers should avoid using cruise control on the highway in the winter because if you hit black ice it will be hard to recover.
Another tip, keep at least a half a tank of gas in your vehicle because the added weight helps in winter driving conditions.
