One person has been arrested during a Canada Day long weekend RIDE check.
Police spoke with approximately 450 drivers total in the cities of Port Colborne and Niagara Falls.
The checkpoint started in the Sherkston Shores area where one driver was issued a three-day suspension after their breath sample registered an "alert".
Within a short time of arriving in Niagara Falls, police made one impaired driving arrest and seized the vehicle for 7 days.
Another driver was issued a 3 day licence suspension.
A third driver was charged with driving while under suspension.
