A high level meeting is set for tomorrow ahead of the possible imposition of tariffs on vehicles and auto parts exported to the U.S.
Canada will join Mexico, the EU and Japan at the meeting in Geneva to plot a course of action should President Trump go ahead with his plan to impose tariffs on the exports under the Trade Expansion Act which allows the U.S. government to impose tariffs on imported goods deemed to be a threat to national security.
The Trudeau government has said it will respond to any auto tariffs with its own counter measures.
