A golf course about five hours away from Niagara is embracing the legalization of marijuana.
Gordon Weiske plans to open the Rolling Greens Golf Club in Smiths Falls on April 20th, which marks 4-20, a popular date for cannabis lovers.
It's believed to be the country’s first cannabis-friendly golf course.
“We’re into legalization now across Canada, and we’re the first golf course to announce that we will be embracing cannabis use and enjoyment at our golf course,” said Weiske.
“Golf courses are one of those rare examples where you can have both a liquor license and, of course, enjoying cannabis can be enjoyed wherever smoking is enjoyed. Out there on Rolling Greens, we’ll be able to enjoy a smoke and a few rounds.”
The course won’t be selling pot, but your can bring your own, and enjoy your own.
