World Junior Hockey action is coming to St. Catharines and Hamilton.
Canada’s National Junior Team hopefuls will be front-and-centre in Niagara, as St. Catharines will serve as the host city for this year’s selection camp, Dec. 12-15.
Canada’s National Junior Team Sport Chek Selection Camp will be held at the Meridian Centre and will also feature a trio of games - two against a U SPORTS team on Dec. 13 and 14, and a game against Denmark on Dec. 15, before the roster is pared down to the group that will wear the red-and-white in Buffalo Dec. 26-Jan. 5.
The 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship will be held in Buffalo, NY from December 26, 2017 to January 5, 2018.
Tickets will go on sale later in October for fans in the Niagara Region.
Hockey Canada has also announced that one of two pre-tournament games involving the Canadian squad will be played at FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton on December 22, 2017 when Team Canada goes up against Switzerland.
