It was a dark and dreary weekend for hundreds of Niagara residents served by Canadian Niagara Power.
The utility had to bring in outside contractors to help after power was knocked out to thousands of homes and businesses in the Fort Erie/Port Colborne area following Thursday's wind storm.
But despite the weekend effort, full restoration has still not been completed.
Last night, Canadian Niagara Power officials said 'significant progress' had been made in the restoration effort, but 80 customers were still without power and crews would be working through the night.
