A few dozen people turned up last night for a candlelight vigil in front of the Skyway Animal Hospital in St. Catharines.
Members of the Brock Students Animal Liberation group organized the vigil to demand Doctor Mahavir Rekhi's license be revoked after he was caught on camera abusing animals at the Skyway Animal Hospital.
The Ontario College of Veterinarians handed Rekhi a 10 month license suspension which will be reduced if he takes retraining courses.
Another vigil is planned for the Welland Avenue hospital on Saturday at 11 am.
