A carjacking in St.Catharines early this morning has police looking for a man and a woman.
The NRP say it happened at 2:15AM in the area of Court Alley at Court Street.
When officers arrived on scene they were met by a 39 year old man who reported he was just robbed of his vehicle, a 2006 Chevrolet HHR by a man and woman who were armed with a baseball bat.
The victim, who was driving west bound along Court Alley, says he stopped his vehicle for the suspects as they were blocking his path.
The male suspect, who was armed with the bat, took a swing at the vehicle and ordered the driver to exit his vehicle.
The victim, who did not suffer any injuries, got out of his vehicle and the suspects drove off.
The vehicle was recovered a short time later abandoned on Bond Street at Head Street in St. Catharines.
The male suspect is described as white, 40-50 years old, he was wearing a light coloured hooded sweater /jacket and blue jeans.
The female is described as white, 40-50 years old, she was wearing a dark coloured hooded sweater/jacket and blue jeans.
