The daughter of former prime minister Brian Mulroney has passed the first hurdle in entering the political arena.
Caroline Mulroney has been nominated as the Ontario Progressive Conservative nomination for the riding of York-Simcoe north of Toronto.
No other candidate ran to oppose Mulroney, who is a vice-president of an investment firm.
She accepted the nomination by attacking the provincial Liberal government for its plan to hike the minimum wage to $15.00 an hour.
Ontario Tory leader Patrick Brown calls Mulroney a fantastic addition to his slate of candidates heading into next June's provincial election.
