A road in Grimsby will be closed next week for railway crossing maintenance work.
Regional officials say Casablanca Boulevard or Regional Road 10, between the South Service Road and Livingston Avenue will be temporarily closed to through traffic beginning 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017 to 5:00 p.m. Friday, June 23, 2017.
The road closure is necessary for railway crossing maintenance work by Canadian National Railway and will include excavation of the track.
Both local residents and emergency services will have access only either from Regional Road 40 (South Service Road) or Regional Road 514 (Livingston Avenue) during this closure.
No through traffic will be permitted.
A detour route will be posted along Regional Road 40 (South Service Road) to Roberts Road and to Regional Road 514 (Livingston Avenue) and along Regional Road 10 (Casablanca Boulevard) to Regional Road 81 (Main Street West) to Hunter Road and to Regional Road 40 (South Service Road).
