There is a seventh school-related COVID-19 case in Niagara.
The Niagara Catholic District School Board confirms an individual at Holy Cross Secondary School in St. Catharines has tested positive for the virus.
Board officials say the case has been investigated and found not to have any risk of exposure to the school community.
Earlier today the Catholic Board also confirmed a case at Canadian Martyrs Elementary School.
That case involved an individual at the school who tested positive and was attending the school while infectious.
The two cases were confirmed today, and public health will be informing close contacts of the person at Canadian Martyrs this weekend.
This marks the seventh school-related case of COVID in Niagara.
We learned of a third case at Eastdale Secondary School on Friday.
Two staff members at the Welland school have tested positive for COVID so far. It's not clear if the case confirmed Friday was in a staff member or student.
The other cases are in staff members at Mary Ward in Niagara Falls, and William Hamilton Merritt Elementary in St. Catharines.
Niagara reported 14 new cases of COVID Saturday.
