The case of the snake on the loose in Lincoln has been solved.
Niagara Regional Police say the Ball Python snake has been located unharmed.
It was discovered in the area of Ashby Dr. in Beamsville.
The Ontario SPCA was called in, and the snake is reported safe.
Police first warned residents about the loose snake on August 30th in the area near Ashby and Hillside Drive.
It appears the snake didn't travel too far from where it was spotted two weeks ago.
One area resident, Janice McLaren tells CKTB neighbours gathered outside when the snake was discovered Saturday night.
She says a man was driving down the street when he spotted the python on the road.
McLaren says the discovery puts an end to a neighbourhood search for the snake, including her two children aged two and seven.
She says she would check her yard carefully before letting her children play outside.
