Brock University will be studying how sights, sound, and smell impact wine buyers with help from an almost one million dollar grant.
$960,000 from the Canada Foundation for Innovation was announced yesterday to establish The Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and Sensory Reality Consumer Laboratory recreating the atmosphere of wineries, liquor stores, and dining rooms.
Researchers will be comparing environmental factors and seeing what impact, if any, the changes have on how customers buy wine.
This is part of 500 million dollars in federal funding that is being dispersed across Canada.
