Catholic masses will go ahead as planned Sunday.
No Sunday masses in the St. Catharines Diocese are cancelled this weekend.
Officials with the Niagara Catholic organization say 'it is important that anyone who is feeling unwell, or anyone with underlying medical issues or compromised health that would make them more vulnerable to the virus, is excused from their obligation to attend Sunday Mass.'
Several measures are taking place at the churches, including no physical contact during the sign of the peace, and holy water has been removed.
There will be no Anglican church services in Niagara on Sunday.
On Sunday, Bishop Susan Bell will lead a live-streamed time of prayer, complete with a brief homily, beginning at 10AM on the diocesan Facebook page.
