Four Canada Border Services Agency officers have fallen ill following a vehicle search at the Peace Bridge.
The search took place Friday June 2 early in the morning.
After finding a driver's behaviour to be erratic, the driver and two passengers were brought inside the CBSA office for questioning.
A representative for the CBSA has told CKTB that following the discovery of suspected narcotics inside the vehicle, four of the officers involved in the search became ill due to exposure to an unknown substance.
All four officers were taken to hospital and have since been released.
The male driver, his two female occupants, and the suspected narcotics have all since been turned in to the Niagara Regional Police.
