Basketball players from across Canada and the US are arriving in St. Catharines to start getting ready for a major tournament.
Canadian Elite Basketball League teams started arriving in the Garden City late last week and over the weekend to take part in a training camp.
All players are being subjected to COVID-19 testing and players arriving from the US are currently in quarantine.
Around 80 percent of the players are Canadian.
CEBL Executive Vice President of Strategy and Communications John Lashway says three 'safe zones' have been set up to protect the players and the public. The league is also working with Niagara Public Health to ensure all COVID-19 protocols are being followed.
The tournament will tip off on July 25th at the Meridian Centre.
Fans won't be able to watch in person, but online streams will be available.
