A big celebration is underway in Niagara celebrating the accomplishments of women in our region.
Over 500 women and a few men have gathered at Club Italia in Niagara Falls to mark International Women's Day
The event, hosted by the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce is featuring Betsy Myers --the COO of Barack Obama’s Presidential Campaign.
Mary Ann Edwards is receiving the 2018 International Women's Day award this afternoon.
Edwards is well known in Niagara for her volunteer work.
She is a Brock University Graduate and founder of the Rankin Cancer Run.
Edwards has also been awarded the Ontario Medal for Good Citizenship for her local contributions.
