We are now into the second month of the new minimum wage in Ontario--which is now $14 an hour.
CEO of the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce Mishka Balsom tells CKTB the wage boost has impacted small business owners.
She says one owner approached her crying saying the impact of the wage hike, and other laws coming into effect were hitting her hard.
Balsom says the Chamber will continue to bring these individual stories forward.
She says they are looking for more relief for small and medium businesses as it related to Bill 148.
In January 2019, Ontario's minimum wage will increase again to 15 dollars an hour.
