Toronto police say a Hamilton man has been charged with mischief in connection with a beer-tossing incident at a Blue Jays playoff game this week.
It happened Tuesday when a can hurled from the stands narrowly missed a Baltimore player as he made a catch during the seventh inning of the game at the Rogers Centre.
The incident caused a social media frenzy and prompted the Jays to look at tightening their security as well as their alcohol policies at the venue.
Forty-one-year-old Ken Pagan, who had previously identified himself as the man in a suspect photo released by police, is to appear in court next month.
A spokeswoman with Postmedia, who confirms Pagan work for the company, says they are conducting an internal investigation but had ``reached no conclusions.''
