Charges have now been laid following a crash in Thorold.
It happened just before 3am on Tuesday August 22nd when a vehicle lost control and collided with a brick wall in the parking lot of a business on Merritt Street near Front Street N.
As a result of the collision, a 23 year old woman was transported by air ambulance to an out-of-area hospital for treatment of her injuries which were later deemed to be non-life threatening.
A male passenger in the car was treated in hospital and released while the driver was not injured in the collision.
Streets in the area were closed for several hours while members of the Collision Reconstruction Unit investigated the collision.
The driver has been charged with Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
