The NRP Welland Street Crime Unit commenced an investigation with the assistance of the RCMP into the allegations that heroin and methamphetamine was being sold from two homes in Port Colborne.
On March 23rd, 2018 the investigation concluded with the execution of two Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrants and several arrests.
Police seized a quantity of methamphetamine, heroin, Dilaudid tablets, Percocet tablets and methadone. Various trafficking indicators were seized along with three prohibited weapons and cash.
Jeff Ring, a 38 year old Port Colborne resident is charged with:
- Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine and Herion for the purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Dilaudid & Percocet
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon x 2 for a Dangerous Purpose
- Breach of Probation x 2
Anthony Barichello, a 42 year old Port Colborne resident and
Melanie Ferri, a 29 year old Port Colborne resident is charged with:
- Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine and Methadone
- Possession of a Prohibited Weapon x 2
