Charges have been laid after reports of a sexual assault at Brock University.
It was back in October when officers from Niagara Regional Police's Sexual Assault Unit started investigating an allegation of a sexual assault that had occurred on the St.Catharines University's campus.
As a result of the investigation detectives arrested 20 year old Tamaratekena Odibo-Satu and charged him with one count of sexual assault.
The arrest was made on Friday, and Odibo-Satu was released on bail on January 12th.
The Niagara Regional Police Service encourages any victim of sexual assault to reach out for assistance by either reporting the incident to police or calling the Niagara Sexual Assault Centre at 905-682-4584 for support.
Last week a protest was held at the university calling for more accountability of sexual assault and harassment cases on campus following a controversial case of a professor who was allowed back in the classroom after an internal investigation found he acted inappropriately with a female student.
