A warning out about Cicada killer wasps nesting in a Port Colborne baseball diamond.
Officials say bee keepers are battling the wasps nesting in baseball diamond number three of the Rotary Club Baseball Diamonds on West Side Road in Port Colborne.
As a result, all three baseball diamonds in the area are clsoed.
City staff have contracted a bee/hornet expert who is working on removing the wasps.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to stay away from diamond three at the Rotary Club Baseball Diamonds, and, if notice additional clay mounds on the other fields, or at other city facilities, to call the Operations Centre at 905-835-5049.
