Niagara Falls announcing that City Clerk, Dean Iorfida is leaving the city after 21 years of service.
In a news release the city says that Iorfida has "left the employ of the Corporation".
Iorfida started his career with the municipality as the Executive Assistant to Mayor Wayne Thomson in 1995.
He held the position until his promotion to City Clerk in December 2001.
The release states that he was often given additional responsibilities, such as the By-law section in 2009 and was the City’s first staff liaison on accessibility issues.
It also says that Iorfida worked collaboratively with the other municipal Clerks in developing the Election Compliance Audit Committee for the Niagara Region and he was often a go-to person for individuals in the community attempting to negotiate municipal bureaucracy.
The Corporation of the City of Niagara Falls also saying that it thanks Iorfida for his dedication and many years of service and wishes him well with his future endeavours.
