The City of Peterborough is apologizing to a former Grimsby resident and quadraplegic who was given a $300 parking ticket on Friday for using an accessible spot.
Jake Lawless who grew up in Grimsby and is currently living in Maynooth, about two hours north of Peterborough was given the ticket Friday after taking in a movie.
He parked in an accessible spot, left his pass visible on the visor but still got a ticket.
Lawless who called the city's parking dept. this morning says they've apologized and cancelled the ticket.
