The city of St Catharines is making preparations in case of a postal strike this week.
Postal workers will be in a legal strike position on Wednesday.
The city says it will deliver public notices or time sensitive correspondance by hand or courier.
Voter information cards have already been mailed out, if you don't receive one you can either call or go to city hall.
Residents who don’t receive their Voter Information Cards can still vote in the election but they must have valid identification with their current address to receive their ballot.
Anyone who has to yet to pay their final property tax bill, due on Friday, or who has to make payments for water or parking tickets should not send them through the mail until the threat of a strike is over.
Payments can be made in person at city hall and cheques can be dropped in the mail slot at the James Street entrance.
Parking tickets can also be paid online.
