Community Care of St. Catharines and Thorold is launching a new fundraising initiative.
It's an online 50/50 raffle with a guaranteed minimum value of $5,000 but the organization says there's no limit to how big it can grow.
The campaign kicks of today and runs till June 26th, with special early bird draws every week.
Community Care CEO Betty-Lou Souter says the initative comes at a critical time when the agency is searching for alternative ways to raise funds in the time of a global pandemic.
“We rely heavily on fundraising initiatives to deliver our programs and services at Community Care. Since the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions have been put in place, we have seen the cancellation of over 25 events which were projected to bring in UPWARDS OF $400,000 in much needed funds for the organization."
Ticket prices start at $10 and you can play by visiting Care5050.ca or click here.
