Residents might have thought the series of arsons that's destroyed at least 10 cars in St. Catharines would be over, following the July 10th arrest and charges against a 55-year-old woman.
However in the early morning hours on Friday July 12th, police responded to yet another call of a vehicle on fire, this time in the area of Taylor Avenue and Pleasant Avenue.
Now a community watch group has formed led by St. Catharines resident Jack Profijt.
He joined CKTB's Matt Holmes and clarified that he's "not looking for any kind of vigilantism" but is hoping for level-headed people that care about their community to join him in making the neighbourhood safer.
If you're interested in finding out more about the initiative, Profijt says you can reach out on Facebook or by email at Jprofijt@gmail.com
