Niagara Falls City Council will hold a special meeting this afternoon to talk about the Centre Street closure.
Council initially allowed the street closure to allow pop up patios, but at last weeks council meetings complaints from surrounding businesses had council agree to a compromise and close it daily at 4 p.m., not the entire time.
The move means added costs to the city and the local BIA is upset with the move and council will revisit the plan today in special session.
The meeting is set to start in-camera at 2 p.m., open council for 2:30 p.m.
While the issue was debated in open council for over an hour last week, the agenda for today's meeting calls for the closed door session for council to get legal advice.
