Travellers taking a trip across the Queenston-Lewiston Bridge can expect to see some work being done in the near future.
Yesterday, U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer and the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission announced they are moving head with more than 90 million dollars in construction at the crossing.
This is phase two in a three part plan to renovate and expand the bridge.
Some of the work includes replacing the 10 primary inspection lanes for cars and trucks, adding in 5 new lanes to handle traffic on demand, and creating a dedicated bus processing lane.
Officials say construction is being planned in stages to keep 10 inspection lanes open throughout the construction.
