The father of a murdered Woodstock girl and his supporters are planning a rally on Parliament Hill to protest a decision to move one of his daughter's killers to an aboriginal healing lodge.
Terry-Lynne McClintic was convicted of first-degree murder in the 2009 kidnapping, rape and killing of 8-year-old Victoria (Tori) Stafford.
Doreen Graichen, one of Tori’s grandmothers, says Corrections Canada has informed them that McClintic has been moved from prison to the Okimaw Ohci Healing Lodge in Saskatchewan.
On a Facebook page entitled " Protest for change - Justice for Tori Stafford" organizors say they will be renting buses November 2nd to go to Ottawa " to peacefully protest the reduced security levels being given to the worst of the worst; including one of Tori Stafford's killers, Terri-Lynne McClintic. We want to make sure that murderers of children and other vulnerable people who are convicted to life without parole - do NOT get lowered security clearances, day passes etc."
Citing privacy concerns, Corrections Canada would not comment on the report.
