The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority is closing their on-site favcilities to the public.
This includes washrooms, buildings, visitor centres, gatehouses, the Centre for Conservation at Ball’s Falls, and Welland Head Office.
Conservation areas will be accessible for passive recreation activities only, which may include hiking and birdwatching.
In a release, the NPCA says they understand access to nature and greenspace is important for community health and wellbeing.
During this time, they encourage you to take advantage of natural green spaces with independent walks, hikes, or nature photography.
The NPCA says flood monitoring and warning will not be impacted.
