Prime Minister Justin Trudeau addressed the nation again this morning, urging for calm.
During his address he said he would be recalling parliament to look at more potential measures.
"We're talking about recalling parliament briefly to pass legislative measures that will allow us to do things around EI, to do things around a number of methods to get money into the pockets of Canadians."
He said the government will be looking at the Emergency Measures Act to see if there are tools that will allow the government to take more steps.
Trudeau also teased more announcements through the rest of the week, including changes to the upcoming tax season.
"We're looking at giving more flexibility for people to make payment and for businesses to have liquidity during this time."
He ended today's address by urging Canadians to maintain social distancing. "Canada, let's work together. I know we can do this."
