Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says all levels of government are working together to keep Canadians safe and mitigate the economic impact of the novel coronavirus.
He says addressing COVID-19 must be a Team Canada effort.
Trudeau says an agreement reached between all parties that will see Parliament suspended for five weeks still gives the government the ability to make sure that no one suffers financially because of the virus.
Trudeau made the remarks at a news conference outside his home, where he's in self-isolation following his wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau's positive test for the virus.
He says public health officials have told him there's no need to be tested for the virus unless he shows symptoms.
