WestJet Airlines has announced it is suspending all international flights, including flights to the U.S. for 30 days, starting this Sunday.
After that, WestJet says it will operate rescue and repatriation flights in partnership with the Canadian government.
The airline adding it will also reduce domestic flights by 50 percent.
This comes as the Prime Minister announced Canada is closing its border to most people who are not citizens or permanent residents with the exception of U.S citizens.
After taking heat for not barring Americans, Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland clarified, Americans coming into Canada have to self isolate for two weeks, which she notes is not very enticing.
