Crews are hoping to have the Burgoyne Bridge in St. Catharines reopened by noon today.
The bridge has been closed in both direction since December 8th to allow for its bridge decks to be suspended from the structural arch.
It was supposed to re-open last Friday but delays pushed the reopening to today.
The 93-million dollar bridge is now supported by the arch and it’s off its temporary supports, however those supports will remain in place until the spring when they can be safely removed.
