The union representing Ontario's education workers will announce this morning whether its members have said yes to a new contract offer.
The 55,000 workers avoided a strike last month when their union, CUPE, reached an eleventh-hour deal with the province.
Had the custodians, early childhood educators and clerical staff gone on strike, two dozen school boards had said they would be forced to close their doors.
The union says it will provide further details of the deal at a news conference this morning at 9:00 at Queen's Park.
Meantime, in an effort to ramp up pressure on the province at the bargaining table, members of the Ontario Secondary School Teacher's Federation will begin holding strike votes this month.
High school teachers with the DSBN will vote November 12th and 13th.
