Reed Botwright's six-year-old son, Everett, will only eat a few foods, so the family turned to social media when they could no longer find his favourite Star Wars Kraft Dinner in stores.

The father of four says his messages spread like wildfire, generating responses from around the globe, including from Canadian actor William Shatner.

Bright blue and orange boxes of the character-shaped noodles quickly began arriving in the family's mail box, along with messages of support.

Botwright says at least one business has also helped out, with the Real Canadian Superstore shipping 411 boxes of K-D from stores in the Lower Mainland over to the family's home in Nanaimo.
