A Toronto judge has put off a decision on sentencing for two convicted killers until February 26th.
Judge Michael Code must decide if Dellen Millard and Mark Smich will serve two life sentences back to back or together, after they were sentenced to life in prison for the killings of Tim Bosma and Laura Babcock.
Millard's lawyer attempting, during yesterday's hearing, to convince the judge his client can be rehabilitated.
Several letters in support of Millard were submitted describing him as "loyal, patient, generous and protective."
Judge Code saying while that may be true there is another side to him that is extremely dangerous.
Mark Smich's lawyer telling the court his client has kicked his drug habit, is taking courses, and working inside prison.
If the judge decides to give Millard consecutive sentences he would not be eligible for parole until the age of 77.
