It was all smiles yesterday as officials broke ground on construction of the new Confederation GO Station in Stoney Creek.
But there are some lingering hurdles to clear.
Negotiations continue with CN Rail, which owns the land the GO Trains will travel on.
CN has final approval on the construction of the new track that will run from the West Harbour to the station on Centennial Parkway North.
Hamilton area Liberal MPP Ted McMeekin telling the CBC, the province's GO plans for Hamilton and Niagara still hinge on CN, but they're making progress.
