Playing their third game in less than three says, the IceDogs put up a fight but couldn’t make it all the way back losing 6-4 in Sudbury. David Bell's team picked up four out of a possible six points.
The Wolves had the fresher legs, building a 2-0 lead by the 14:32 mark of the opening period. Five second after that, Akil Thomas counted his 7th of the year with the assist to Matthew Phillip. A late power-play goal extended the lead to two.
In the second, the visitors from St Catharines mounted an early push but Sudbury converted on two chances making it 5-1. Pavel Demin would fire his second of the year home on the power-play with help from Phillip and Castelman. The two teams then traded goals, including Thomas’ second of the year; making is 6-3 after two.
In the third, Kyle Langdon 7th of the season on the man advantage brought the IceDogs within two but they could get no closer.
