The IceDogs twice rallied from a goal down before falling 3-2 in overtime in London Friday night. The point, moves Niagara a point up on Barrie in the race for first in the OHL's Central Division.
London would count the only goal of the opening period, before Elijah Roberts' 6th of the year evened things up late in the second. Taking a feed in his own zone from Justin MacPherson, Roberts would go end to end before firing home a snap shot on the glove side.
The teams traded goals in the final twenty, with Matt Philip tying the score at 10:39. With assists credited to Akil Thomas and Sam Miletic, Philip was able to out muscle the Knight defence for his 12th of the year.
In overtime, the game seemed destined to go to a shootout until London got the winner on a rebound in the final minute. Shots were even for the game at 33 a side.
