The Lincoln County Humane Society is hoping to find new families for 17 very special dogs.
Reality TV star and producer Simon Cowell helped fund a Humane Society International project to rescue hundreds of dogs from farms in Korea that supply meat to the Korean Meat Trade.
LCHS Executive Director Kevin Strooband says the dogs are a little shy right now, and will need a fenced in yard.
"They've been through a lot, and they do need an experienced person to provide them the care and the training they will need."
Strooband says dog walkers have been working with the animals and the dogs will be great pets.
Anyone who wants to see the dogs can visit them at the LCHS shelter.
