An historic vote expected to take place today at Queen's Park.
Premier Doug Ford has recalled the legislature to ask MPP's to give him the greenlight to use the notwithstanding clause in an effort to override a judge's decision this week that overturned legislation that cut Toronto city council almost in half.
It will be the first time the clause has ever been used in Ontario.
Two protests are planned today.
A group calling itself, Progress Toronto, will fill the legislature's public gallery at 9:30 this morning.
A separate rally is planned later this afternoon at Queen's Park.
