Premier Doug Ford's office is refusing to say why he revoked the appointments of two people to lucrative posts as foreign agents-general.
The decision comes just 24 hours after Ford announced Taylor Shields was being sent to London and Tyler Albrecht to New York City.
The Globe and Mail is quoting sources as saying Shields is related to the wife of Ford's chief of staff Dean French and that Albrecht is friends with one of French's sons.
The New Democrats say Ford is trying to sweep things under the rug after getting caught trying to ``slip first-class gravy train tickets to friends and family.''
