Haldimand County OPP have charged an 80 year old woman in a March crash in Hagersville that severely injured a young girl.
The woman is charged with careless driving causing bodily harm.
Police say the driver was sitting in her parked car when she accelerated in reverse, crossed northbound lanes of traffic, hit an SUV, mounted a curb, striking then four year old Maeve Field and her brother who were with their parents outside a hardware store.
Maeve was pinned under the car and dragged several yards.
The young girl was finally released from hospital earlier this month but she will require years of extensive medical treatment for her injuries.
