We can probably call this a case of 'auto Heimlich manoeuvre' after OPP officials say eating while driving is behind a crash in Norfolk County.
Constable Ed Sanchuk reports a driver did not suffer any serious injuries after crashing his vehicle while choking on their food.
While choking, the driver lost consciousness while travelling eastbound on Highway 3 between Culver Road and Blueline Road.
The vehicle crossed into the westbound lanes of traffic, barely missed another vehicle, and then hit a hydro pole before rolling over and sliding into a chain link fence.
The food became dislodged and the driver was able to regain consciousness and exit the vehicle.
Officials say the driver did not suffer any serious injuries.
