Niagara Regional Police have their vehicle, but they are still looking for their man.
On Tuesday afternoon around 3 p.m. officers approached a vehicle near Haig and Perry Streets in St. Catharines.
The man driving the red Buick SUV was under driving prohibitions while police say the passenger possessed an illegal drug.
During the arrest of the passenger the driver tried to make a quick get away, smashing the SUV into an NRP vehicle.
No one was hurt but the police vehicle suffered around $2,000 in damage.
Police have found the red Buick, but are still looking for 51 year old Jason Gerald Grove of St. Catharines. Grove faces a number of charges including trafficking Oxycodone and dangerous operation of a vehicle.
The passenger in the vehicle, 49 year old William Orr of St. Catharines, was arrested at the scene and faces drug charges.
He was released from custody and will be in court next month.
