Two Mississauga residents are facing drug and weapons charges after an incident in Welland.
Niagara Regional Police were called to an area on West Main and Niagara Streets on Monday around 7:40 p.m. after reports of an armed person.
Officers quickly located a suspect vehicle and arrested both the drvier and passenger without incident.
A quantity of oxycodone pills with a street value of over $6000 were subsequently seized and the driver and passenger were arrested at the scene without incident.
22 year old Shakur Wray and 20 year old Tyana Wray are facing a number of charges.
Both were held in custody for a bail hearing today.
